Nose Reshaping (Rhinoplasty)
Refine Your Profile, Breathe with Ease
Rhinoplasty Surgery in Winston-Salem, NC
Rhinoplasty—commonly known as a nose job—is one of the most personalized procedures in plastic surgery. For some, it’s about reshaping the nose to better fit their facial proportions. For others, it’s about correcting breathing issues, previous injuries, or structural concerns like a deviated septum.
At Forsyth Plastic Surgery, our board-certified plastic surgeons perform cosmetic and functional rhinoplasty procedures with a focus on balance, proportion, and subtle refinement—not drastic change.
We believe the best nose is one that feels natural on your face—and allows you to breathe easily, speak confidently, and show up in the world as yourself.

What Rhinoplasty Can Address
Rhinoplasty may be right for you if you’re looking to:
- Smooth or reduce a bump or hump on the bridge
- Refine the tip of the nose (size, shape, or rotation)
- Narrow the nostrils or nasal base
- Improve facial symmetry or proportions
- Address breathing difficulties or correct a deviated septum
- Repair damage from a past injury or previous surgery
We offer both cosmetic rhinoplasty and functional (septorhinoplasty), depending on your goals. In some cases, the two can be combined for both aesthetic and breathing-related improvements.
What to Expect
Your Consultation
Your first visit is an in-depth conversation with one of our surgeons. We’ll evaluate your nasal structure, facial proportions, and overall goals. Digital photography and simulation tools may be used to guide discussion and set realistic expectations.
If you have breathing issues, we’ll also assess internal structures and review any prior imaging or ENT referrals if needed.

Common Questions
Will I look like a different person?
No. Our goal is always refinement, not transformation. You’ll still look like you—just with a nose that fits more naturally with your features.
Can rhinoplasty fix my breathing?
Yes, if breathing issues are caused by structural problems (like a deviated septum or collapsed internal valves). We’ll evaluate this during your consultation.
How long does swelling last?
Initial swelling resolves within 2–3 weeks. Minor swelling, especially at the tip, can take several months to fully settle.
Is rhinoplasty painful?
Most patients describe discomfort more than pain—especially in the first few days. We’ll prescribe medication to keep you comfortable during recovery.
