Otoplasty is a surgical procedure for making ears less prominent. Many patients, both children and adults, have ears that “stick out too far”. During the Otoplasty procedure, an incision is made behind the ears and sutures are used to permanently pull the ears in tighter against the head. The result is a natural-looking ear that no longer appears prominent.
Most patients will need to keep the head wrapped for a few days after surgery, and protect the ears for several weeks.
